OLIVER Footwear has released a range of safety shoes which are said to be suitable to wear in the mining industry.
The ST’s 44 shoes feature a non-metallic safety toe cap designed to offer added protection and a host of comfort features.
Oliver Footwear says the range comes in both a two lace—up sports shoes and one lace up ankle height sports boot.
Each choice employs the TPU (Thermo Plastic Urethane) soling technology with a lightweight, shock absorbing, low density polyurethane midsole which cushions the foot on impact reducing foot, leg and lower back fatigue.
The ST’s range also offers the Oliver COMFORTcushion, a combination of cellular urethane and Poron, designed to give added protection to the heel and ball of the foot.
The Oliver comfort system also utilises a NANOlite footbed to gives greater comfort and well-being with the sole.
According to the company, the sole combination affords a range of performance features including resistance to heat on surface contact to 1300C.
The toe cap is more than 40% lighter than steel and has full Australian Standards compliance.
