MICOMM will showcase their interactive E-Learning tools for safety, induction and training delivery techniques during the 2009 Queensland Resources Expo (QREX) trade exhibition at the Rockhampton Showgrounds from 21 and 23 July 2009.
MICOMM says that the new technology and software builds on MICOMM’s extensive experience in developing online training programs, which are designed to achieve the best learning outcomes.
MICOMM’s Communications Manager, Cathy Herley says that safety, induction and training delivery techniques have come a long way — from chalk and talk to PowerPoint presentations, to video, and now new media.
Herley says that although PowerPoint presentations are still widely used to deliver induction content, video and multimedia presentations are certainly the way of the future. She claims the heightened audio visual experience not only improves learning outcomes and retention rates, but it also proves more time efficient.
MICOMM, an associate partner of QREX, will also use the event to offer potential clients an insight into their wide range of services, providing information on how the company can work with individual operations and organisations to assist them meet their communication objectives.
