Enerpac has released a new range of heavy duty lifting bags for moving equipment and stabilisationEnerpac has launched its new range of Industrial Grade Lifting Bags for safely moving large loads.
Coming in nine sizes, the low clearance lifting bags use compressed air up to 116 psi (8 bar) or water to lift loads ranging from 3.1 ton to 67.2 tons (27-656kN).
The bags feature a high friction surface which provides increased safety when lifting equipment, which prevents slippage.
Due to the increased friction surface, the bags now have the ability to be stacked upon one another for increased lifting ability.
The lifting bags are Kevlar reinforced and centre target marker to optimise safe usage, and are constructed from non conducting rubber which has an operating range from 0 to 90 degrees celcius.
The range comes designed with plastic cribbing blocks and wedges which allow for greater stabilisation of heavy loads after they have been lifted.
Enerpac’s lifting bags feature collapsed heights from 28-31mm for easy access under and around loads, with extended heights from 157-541mm.
The bags designed to lift 25 ton and larger sizes have integrated nylon straps and heavy duty reinforced lugs
The heavy duty lifting bags feature an industrial interchange air supply to a deadman controller as well as safety coupler inflation hoses which protect against accidental disconnections.
The construction of the lifting bags allows for easy access to restricted spaces, such as those around awkwardly shaped loads or loads in confined spaces.
Restricted access situations can range from beneath vehicles and machinery being replaced, recovered or repositioned, to pipeline trenches and around resource and exploration equipment.
The bags can also tolerate restricted surface pressure, which is useful when they are lifting from softer surfaces in trenches and tunnels.
