COMOPS will showcase its AWS safety compliance and risk management software solution at The Safety Show Sydney being staged between 27 and 29 October 2009.
AWS assists organisations to manage their employees by connecting field staff, branch officers, head office and clients to real-time workplace health and safety information. Incident reports can be logged within moments, and the system workflow then creates actions and associated time frames to ensure fast resolutions to problems.
AWS is typically deployed in industries which must meet a complex array of local, national and international regulations. These industries include manufacturing, construction, mining, healthcare/medical, government, transport and logistics and large FMCG companies where standards and regulation have given rise to new environmental concerns, quality standards and export compliance. The solution helps organisations minimise costs relating to claims, premiums, common law damages and potential fines, whilst providing a safer working environment for employees.
For example, Watpac, one of Australia’s leading publicly-listed construction and property companies, is currently deploying AWS to record and analyse incidents and produce detailed web-based dashboard reports to manage its workforce of project managers, design managers, supervisors, engineers, plant operators, estimators, contract administrators and site managers. At the same time, the company’s senior management will be able to compare performance, spot trends, identify weaknesses and act in cases where safety performance may not be up to the stringent levels required.
Others users in Australia include AE Smith, Ausenco, Queensland Department of Emergency Services and Tasmania Fire Service.
Regular demonstrations and tutorials on AWS will be provided by ComOps account managers during The Safety Show Sydney which is being held at the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park. The ComOps booth is located at stand number C12.
