WorleyParsons to look after safety at Pilbara project

FLINDERS Mines has awarded the pre-feasibility study contract for the Pilbara iron ore project in Western Australia to WorleyParsons.

The company’s duties will include making safety and environmental considerations as well as mine and infrastructure development.

The group will also look after permitting and approvals, marketing, financial modelling, and the establishment of an integrated management team for the project.

WorleyParsons is expected to complete the study at the project near the town of Tom Price by the end of June 2010.
