WorkSafe Victoria tells us how safety inspectors should deal with specific issues

WORKSAFE Victoria has developed an information document giving an overview of how inspectors deal with specific issues at a workplace.

The document provides explanations from the legalities of inspection in the section ‘how inspectors deal with entry to a workplace, premise or site under the OHS legislation’ to an overview of more administrative tasks.

The document is a good source for both mining safety officials and companies as it clearly and concisely defines the rights of the inspector and how the inspection should be carried out.

WorkSafe says that the web-version overview will be updated as necessary when relevant laws and WorkSafe Victoria policies and procedures change.
