Which state has a new mine safety commissioner?

QUEENSLAND has appointed its first Mine Safety and Health Commissioner.

Mining incidents in the state will now be investigated by Stewart Bell who will provide mine safety advice directly to Natural Resources, Mines and Energy Minister Stephen Robertson.

Bell says Queensland has one of the best mine safety records in the world, but he's committed to improvement.
