SAFETY PLUS Products has written a series of guidelines to make choosing correct safety signs easier for mine managers.

Mines are required to use a range of signs, including danger and warning signs, as well as prohibition and mandatory signs

According to the guidelines, mandatory safety signs have a blue picture of protective clothing and text stating the equipment which must be worn in the area.

Prohibition signs feature a red circle with a stripe through an unauthorised activity, while warning safety signs have a yellow background and a picture of a workplace hazard in the foreground.

According to Safety Plus, danger signs have a red/black/white heading with the title ‘Danger’. According to the company, danger safety signs usually denote hazards which are potentially fatal.

The signs are available online and may be delivered world-wide.
