NEW mine safety research will be released at the Safety Conference in Sydney from 28 to 30 October at Sydney Olympic Park.

The factual focus of the research will be paired with interactive workshops and a series of case studies demonstrating the impacts of workplace safety programs and tragedies.

The event, hosted by the Safety Institute of Australia, will cover seven themes, including transport, safety systems and practices, change management, human factors, and injury management.

More than 60 international and local speakers will feature at the event which focuses on the role of human error in workplace injuries and fatalities.

Event organisers say the conference provides a great mix of practical information, latest academic research and personal insights.
