ENVIRONMENTALLY friendly, flame-proof conduits from Evcco have been used in the Epping-Chatswood Rail Link in NSW.

According to the company, the safety conduits are designed to improve industrial risk management in mining applications.

The manufacturer says the flame-retardant conduits are suited to highly volatile areas where there is coal dust.

The pipes are said to be lighter and easier to install than metal and PVC versions, without the environmental and safety hazards which leach into the soil or get released into the air by fire.

The conduits are available in sizes ranging from 20 to 110 mm, and have a range of junction boxes, inspection elbows and tees, bends and adaptors.
