Roxby Downs hosts mining information day

A SOUTH Australian mining town will host its own information day as part of Safe Work Month 2008.

Roxby Downs will feature free information sessions and workshops focusing on mining safety issues and solutions at the Cultural and Leisure Precinct Auditorium on 17 October 2008.

The event will also address safety laws and issues, licensing for high risk operations, and changes to safety regulations.

According to event organisers, the day has been tailored towards employers, employees, health and safety representatives, and workplace safety professionals.
