WORKSAFE Victoria has developed a quiz to evaluate mining health and safety management systems.
The quiz allows miners to evaluate existing safety management systems to identify strengths and weaknesses and establish safer working environments.
According to Worksafe, the diagnosis is not based on any specific management structure and can be carried out by individuals or small teams.
The quiz requires participants to score a mine’s safety systems against a set of 20 statements and compares the total against a coloured line at the bottom of the table.
