ODT Australis has announced that it has added a new aspect to the company, sign writing.
The company decided to enter this new sector when it changed its name from Olympic Dam Transport in 2008 and decided to brand its equipment internally.
The group said that it noticed that the mining industry had a growing demand for signage for mine sites, especially with the increasing focus on safety.
ODT Australis Operations manager Lee Emmett says the team saw that there was a problem to access signs quickly, especially custom signs so we saw the need to cater for the Olympic Dam community.
Emmett says the company is excited about the expansion and hope to help other business move forward through the different phases of the expansion by providing signage.
The company says that it is excited about the expansion and will continue its mining operations as normal, the signs will just be another factor of the business.
