THE FEDERAL Government in conjunction with the mining industry are in the process of completing legislation that will improve safety.

The national occupational health and safety plan will create unified workplace safety rules.

The Minerals Council of Australia’s safety director Megan Davison supports the legislation.

Davidson says the laws will mean that any worker, working on any mine site across the country will be comfortable in their knowledge and have the appropriate training to work at any site in Australia.
