THE BOARDS of CGA Mining and Phil. Gold Processing and Refining say Leighton Contractors has completed a process plant at the Masbate Gold Project in the Philippines with no lost time injuries.

The groups claims Leighton maintained its impressive safety record during the construction period spanning 3,490,630 man hours.

The Boards congratulate the Australian company on the significant achievement and say they remain committed to continuing this focus on safety at the project.

The mining contract for the Masbate Gold Project has been awarded to Leighton, the largest mining contractor in the world.

The first gold production is due in the first quarter of 2009.
