Inspectors probe coal mine explosion

AN investigation into a coal mine explosion which left a worker with severe burns in Collie will resume on 30 October 2008.

The electrical contractor had been working on the Griffin Coal processing plant on 23 October 2008 when the blast occurred.

He was flown to Royal Perth Hospital and remains in a critical but stable condition.

Safety inspectors will continue their investigations at the Ewington site to find the cause of the explosion.
