ENERGEX EsiTrain has announced that it will unveil new safety training courses at the 2009 Queensland Resources Expo (QREX) trade exhibition at the Rockhampton Showgrounds from 21 to 23 July 2009.

The group says the courses are aimed at improving safety in the mining industry. The upgraded technical courses are specifically for electricity and energy distribution workers.

ENERGEX EsiTrain says the nationally accredited courses will offer trade and post-trade training in areas such as high voltage (live line and overhead), underground cable jointing, high voltage switching and confined spaces.

The upgraded training materials, which have been complemented by the upgrading of EsiTrain’s Brisbane facilities, mark the company’s return to the external training market.

EsiTrain manager, Bernard Van Den Bergen says the group has invested a great deal of time and energy into the upgrade of its training materials and facilities.

EsiTrain courses enable customers to efficiently gain a wider range of competencies that reduce costs and increase productivity.

A Registered Training Organisation, EsiTrain is the training department of leading Queensland electricity and energy supplier, ENERGEX.

EsiTrain courses conform to the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) and can be tailored to customers’ requirements and work procedures.Training is delivered by a diverse team of industry specialists, all qualified in Certificate IV and Diploma of Training and Assessment (TAA40104 & TAA50104).
