CHUBB Fire Safety has landed contracts totalling more than $15 million to provide fire protection services to a number of Australian mining companies.

The company will supply Rio Tinto with fire sprinkler and hydrant systems as well as gas and electrical fire detection products at its Argyle diamond mine in Western Australia.

The company will also install a detection and warning system at OZ Minerals’ Prominent Hill mine in South Australia to optimise safety.

Chubb Fire managing director, Rodney Molla, says the contracts allow the company to bring the best fire and safety solutions available to the Australian market.
