CATERPILLAR has launched its MINExpo 2008 website to drive home the message of "Mining Safely. Mining More. Mining Right."

The mining equipment manufacturer says it embraces the concept of mining efficiently and productively while doing its utmost to protect the health and safety of miners.

The company also claims it is important to protect the environment and communities in mining areas.

Cat says it created the site to complement its exhibit at the show, and offer its customers a more in-depth look at the products and services highlighted at the expo.

The site features an exhibit map where the site visitor can click on the icons which direct them to information on miners health including diet, hormone levels and dealing with fatigue as well as safety guidance, technology, sustainability and much more.

The multimedia site is easy to navigate and well worth a visit for miners, managers and senior industry professionals. It is a good initiative by the conglomerate to promote health and safety in the mining industry.
