BHP Billiton swine flu, or just flying pigs?

WORKERS at mining giant BHP Billiton are concerned for their health and safety following chief executive Marius Kloppers announcement that he has swine flu.

The revelation has sent the company’s health and safety officers into overdrive, cancelling all non-essential overseas trips, with those who must travel issued with the anti-viral drug Tamiflu, at BHP's expense.

BHP has also doubled the number of cleaning shifts at head office to ensure all telephones, keyboards, rest rooms and public areas are disinfected on a more regular basis.

Workers have also reported sighting numerous bottles of alcohol-based hand sanitiser.
