Miner trapped

A miner has been trapped underground at BHP’s Nickel West Leinster Perseverance since mid-day yesterday.

An accident at the mine, located around 400 kilometres north of Kalgoorie, saw the miner trapped in a vehicle.

The extent of the miner’s injuries are not yet known.

Efforts to free the trapped miner continued overnight.
