BHP Roxby shaft repaired

BHP has repaired the damaged Olympic Dam mine shaft and will resume production by late June.

The miner saw the shaft severely damaged several months ago after an automated rock hauling system malfunctioned and blocked the shaft.

Due to the damage caused, production fell by 75% at the Clark shaft, the primary shaft used to move ore to the surface at Roxby Downs.
