13th ACPS Conference & Exhibition
Chairman’s Welcome Letter
The Mackay Conference and Exhibition facilities are just 1 year old & at international standards, the conference technical papers will be their usual very high standard, and the exhibition, with over 30 exhibitors, promises to be among the best ever hosted by the ACPS.
When our last Conference was held, in 2008, the industry was booming and the future looked very bright. Since then, there has been the “Global Financial Crisis”, and increasing political bickering about emissions trading schemes and carbon emission reductions. We live in interesting times, and it’s more than ever vital to keep up with trends in the industry, which provides us with our living.
The format for the Conference will follow the very successful style developed by the Society over the years, with a balanced mixture of technical sessions with some guest speakers, and an interesting social program for partners. There will again be a technical Workshop at the end of the Conference.
Please come to see and hear the latest in coal preparation technology, to view the exhibition, to interact with others with an interest in coal preparation and of course, to enjoy Mackay and Central Queensland hospitality.
